The difference is subtle but crucial: ChatGPT writes at you. Claude writes with you.

Real example: Ask both to write a cold email pitching SEO services.

• ChatGPT: Opens with “I hope this email finds you well,” uses phrases like “drive results” and “take your business to the next level.”
• Claude: Opens with something specific to the recipient, acknowledges that they probably get 50 pitches a day, makes one clear point.

Both are excellent at coding. But Claude now has an unfair advantage: Claude Code.
